Varan-Kadi

What is it?

.Basic dal and accompanying kadi.

What you Need

For varan: One cup of tur dal, termeric powder, salt,  

For kadhi: half a cup of grated coconut, one green chilli, two petals

How to Make it

Varan: Cook dal with half a spoonful of termeric powder and 1/4th spoon hing till soft.

Kadhi; Grind coconut, chilli to smooth paste. Add salt, kokam to taste. Add water to make it thin. Serve cooked rice with varan (dal) and kadhi
