Pole with Chutney
What is it?
This is a most delicious, popular breakfast dish similar to the well known
South Indian dose.
What you Need
- (For Pole) One cup of black gram, three cups of rice
- (For chutney) Half grated coconut, two red dried chillies, four cloves
garlic and salt to taste.
How to make it
- (Pole) Soak black gram dal and rice overnight and grind together adding
little waterto fine paste to make a batter of pouring consistency.
Heat a little ghee in a heavy frying pan. Pour in two tablespoons
batter. Cook on medium heat for about two minutes when bubbles will
appear on surface. Flip over and cook for one minute more. Make
remaining pancakes in similar way.
- (Chutney) Grind together adding one spoonful of water
